Feedback wanted on Waikato Regional Coastal Plan
A message from Waikato Regional Council about the Waikato Regional Coastal Plan:
In March, we started meeting with communities around the Coromandel Peninsula to capture views and feedback on the key issues we’ve identified and ways the current coastal plan can be improved. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic these engagement activities were cut short.
We’re now in a position to resume engagement and would value the opportunity to meet with you at one of the community drop-in sessions we have planned. Dates and venues are below. Please share this email with any of your contacts who may also be interested in attending.
Whitianga
Thursday, 6 August - 3.30pm-6pm
Mercury Bay Boating Club
90 Buffalo Beach Road
Coromandel
Friday, 7 August - 11am-1pm
Coromandel Community Boardroom
355 Kapanga Road
We realise you may not be able to attend in person – no problem! You can also provide feedback via our website for Healthy Environments | He Taiao Mauriora Coastal Plan Review. On our website we break down the issues into key topic areas. These are also compiled into a handy PDF document here.
The feedback we receive will be collated and used to further refine the issues to be addressed in the current coastal plan.
If there are any matters you would like further clarified or you would like the opportunity to meet with us in person (or virtually), then reply to this [Enable JavaScript to view protected content].
We look forward to speaking with you at one of our drop-in sessions!
